THE NAME ON YOUR TICKET
Every ticket (including camping and accommodation tickets) needs to have the holder’s NAME and ADDRESS on it (same as their ID). When adding your details, you will have to upload a PHOTO as well, which won’t be visible on your ticket, but on your EC account only.
Tickets are nominal, so you can’t enter the festival if you don’t have your name & your photo on the ticket. The address is necessary just for a double check, especially in case of a common name.
In order to receive the wristband and enter the festival, it is necessary for the ticket personalization to be complete. You can personalize your ticket for free within the first 7 days after purchasing it; thereafter, a personalization fee will be applied. Use the EC website while you do this.
You can upgrade your ticket or full pass either from your EC account or at the festival.
Every ticket can be upgraded online or on site.
If you have a voucher or an invitation, you need to redeem it here until the date mentioned on it and to personalize it.
You will not be able to enter the festival with a voucher.
IMPORTANT:
Minors up to 7 years old benefit from free entry if they are accompanied by a legal guardian who owns a valid entry ticket.
Minors under 16 can enter if they have approval from a parent or legal guardian, accompanied by them or another adult responsible for supervising them. One adult can accompany up to 3 minors.
Minors aged 16-17 need a parental statement for participation.
The Organizer is not liable for fraudulent statements; the submitter is responsible for their authenticity.
The consent form can be downloaded from here to be filled in. Make sure you have it at the festival's entrance.
PRE-SWAP YOUR TICKET INTO A WRISTBAND
To save time, you can visit a Swap Point, show your ID, and swap your ticket into a wristband before the festival begins. Be the first one to brag about it on your Insta stories and avoid the long lines at the entrance of the festival. Pre-Swapped wristbands can go straight to the fast lane.
IMPORTANT: Pre-Swap is not available for day tickets. Minors can only get their wristbands at the festival.
You can also order your own wristband in Cluj and Bucharest via Wolt, starting from July 8.

ONLINE TOP-UP
Every payment made inside the festival is cashless, as you can pay for anything using your wristband. For that, you need to top-up money on it. In order to do so, you will have to create an account and register your ticket here.
It’s easy, just follow the steps below:
• login or create an account on our website;• register your ticket code on the Cashless platform;
• top-up money.
This is called an online top-up. When you swap your ticket into a wristband, the wristband will be automatically connected to your cashless account and will have that amount of money on it.
Once registered in the Cashless platform, tickets can no longer be sold through the exchange platform.
On-site top-ups are also available at the festival, every day from 11:00 to 5:00 (the next day).The maximum amount of cash that can be topped up is 2.500 lei.
From 5:00 to 11:00, top-up will be available only online.
Your wristband must be activated inside the festival area to use the top-up amount. After you activate the festival wristband, your balance will be displayed with your top-up. You can activate your wristband by scanning it at a bar or vendor.
After every online top-up, you will have to scan your wristband at any payment point to confirm the new balance.
REFUND
Unspent topped-up money can be refunded exclusively online, in your bank account, by filling The Refund Form between 16.07.2026 and 02.08.2026, 23:59. The form will be available starting from July 16.
GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL AND BACK
The Electric Castle festival ground is located 30 km (18 miles) outside Cluj-Napoca, in the village of Bonțida. If you’re not staying in EC Village or Bonțida, you can come by train (EC Trains are the best option), bus, or car.
We’re constantly working on improving transportation to the festival and back.
* A whole street in Bontida will be used to load up to 7 buses at once, making the trip back to town as quick as possible.
* Average 30 min bus queue during peak times.
* Dedicated Whatsapp Chat: For transportation issues only, to stay in touch with you and find solutions ASAP when you need them: +40752653049
Scroll down to get to know all the transportation options.
BY EC TRAINS (Interregional)
You can choose to travel to Electric Castle with a dedicated EC train that will leave a few times a day, from Gara Mica (Cluj-Napoca). Only festival goers with valid train tickets and festival tickets will be allowed on this train. The EC train will stop in Jucu, where you will get into a dedicated bus that will take you to the festival. The price of a ticket is 38 LEI and it covers the whole journey Cluj->Bontida.
This is the easiest and fastest way to get to the festival as you’ll avoid the rush hours on road.
Tickets are sold exclusively online. EC trains have limited capacity, so we strongly recommend buying a ticket in advance. When purchasing, select your departure date and time; the ticket will only be valid for that journey.Unused EC Train tickets can be used for EC Buses between 03:00-14:00.
BY BUS - NON-STOP
July 15
On July 15, the EC buses will leave only from Expo Transilvania and back, non-stop, starting from 10:00.
July 16-19
There will be non-stop buses leaving from Iulius Mall and Expo Transilvania to the Castle and back, all day and all night long, starting from July 16, 10:00.
The last bus from Bonțida to Cluj-Napoca will leave on July 20, 11:00.
Bus stations when returning to Cluj-Napoca: Aurel Vlaicu bus station - near Expo Transilvania, Iulius Mall.
Tickets will be available online and at the bus stations, card payment only.
We highly recommend getting your bus ticket in advance.
Bus Ticket Prices
-
19 LEI – valid for trips operating between 03:00 and 14:00
-
46 LEI – valid for trips operating between 14:00 and 03:00
Tickets can be used for any bus trip within the selected time slot.
If you have a 46 LEI ticket, you can also use it for trips operating between 03:00 and 14:00.
If you purchased a 19 LEI ticket, have not used it yet, and wish to travel during the 14:00 – 03:00 time slot, you will be able to upgrade your ticket by paying the price difference.
Important: The applicable time slot is determined by the time you arrive at the boarding area. During peak periods, you may need to wait before boarding and departure due to high passenger volume; however, your ticket eligibility is based on the time you entered the boarding area.

BY CFR TRAIN
You can also choose to travel to the festival by a regular train. Take the train to Bontida station - any CFR train that passes through Bontida will stop there. The price for a Cluj-Napoca-Bonțida ticket is 7/9 lei. You can find the CFR schedule here.
Once you get to Bontida, you will have to walk for about 40 minutes until you reach the festival’s entrance.
BY PLANE
If you’re traveling from a different country, we recommend you fly to Cluj-Napoca Airport (airportcluj.ro) (30 km from the festival site). From the airport, you can go to one of the departure points of our transport options (Iulius Mall and Expo Transilvania), to the train station, order a ride, or take a taxi to the festival site.
BY CAR
We strongly advise you to leave your car at home. Use our trains or shuttle buses!
If you are coming to the festival just to drop off /pick up someone, you will have to get a parking ticket and enter the parking area.
Drivers are recommended to take a direct route to the festival from their point of departure. This will help spread the arrivals and departures out and reduce traffic queues.
The main festival access road is from Rascruci (except for RVs), not Bontida, so make sure you follow the road signs on your way to the castle. If you’re travelling in your RV, you’ll use the main entrance to Bontida through the E576 road. You’ll have to show your RV Ticket at the checkpoint, so have it ready.
Print your Car Camping or RV Camping Ticket and leave it on your car’s dashboard.
If you arrive by car and you’ll be staying in the EC Village, you’ll first need to park your car in the parking area and then take a few minutes walk to the camping area. If you have a Car Camping Ticket, you will enter the designated area from EC Village.
The Parking has a limited number of spots, so we strongly recommend you buy a ticket in advance, online. You will be able to buy Parking Tickets on-site as well. A ticket is available for one entry in the parking area. This means that you can leave your car there for the whole festival period. If you leave the parking, you will have to buy a new parking ticket when getting back.
Bring your friends to the castle. A full car means 50% off your parking ticket between 10:00 - 20:00 and the chance to win cool prizes, but only if the parking still has free capacity. Carpooling by OMV is part of our sustainability initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint.
The same rules for access and car pooling apply for motorcycles.
There will be a dedicated and limited Premium Parking. In order to have access to it, you will need a parking ticket and you will have to show your Premium wristband or Premium ticket + ID at the entrance.
BY TAXI & OTHER APPS
If you choose to come by taxi or other transport app, you will have access via E 576 and DJ161. There will be a dedicated Taxi Station.
IMPORTANT: Drivers will only be allowed there by showing the ongoing ride on the app.
GETTING TO YOUR BONTIDA ACCOMMODATION
IF YOUR ACCOMMODATION IS IN BONTIDA VILLAGE, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THIS:
- talk to your host regarding the car access and give them the license plate number of the car you will use to get to their address;
- your host will have to inform the Auto Accreditation Office about your license plate number;
- you will use the main road to Bontida, E576 - DJ161, regardless of what GPS apps instruct you;
- upon your arrival in Bontida, head to the Auto Accreditations Office where you will be provided with a printed auto access day pass. This will be valid only for the day of your arrival and only to get to your host's address once;
- the cars must be parked inside the host’s courtyard at all times, for the duration of your stay;
- if you leave your host's courtyard by car, when returning, you will only be able to enter the festival’s parking;
- cars with no auto access pass will use the road from Rascruci and will head to the festival's parking area.
