Creative Camp

Indie Rock Week at glo Creative Camp. An adventure in a mystical realm.

glo Creative Camp is a project meant to connect young talents with experienced musicians and create a context that enhances their creativity. This year, the camp covers 3 weekly modules, each of them with new artists, new mentors and new music styles. What stays the same is the rebellious cause: creating a remix of an oldie & goldie song.

The artists.

The third week of glo Creative Camp was a new opportunity to rediscover the power of music.

We had the chance to be enchanted by:
Adrian Despot
Irina Bucescu
Ana Wolf
Diana Căldăraru
Miruna Mureșan
Costas Ivanov
Jean Gavril
Andrei Doboș

Where to?

Just a few days before the camp, Dan Stănculescu left this world, which made his popular song regain the public’s attention both on TV and on social media. That’s how Adrian Despot got to hear a song that charmed him. Thus, he set out on a journey to "Shambala".

Maybe in Shambala.

In the Buddhist tradition, Shambala is a mysterious world, from which the sages watch over our world. The artists of this week were dedicated body and soul to the song that became their mantra. They entered a realm dominated by feelings, letting the music guide them.

The best quality of music is that it takes me somewhere happy. -Jean Gavril

Only music. Only together.

Creative people can easily find a common language, but the unity of the group that formed this week has exceeded all expectations. From the first moments of sining, there was a shine in their eyes. Without saying anything, they complemented each other's music. With joy, abundant energy, but also a few stalemates, the artists created an incredibly strong connection, which fascinated everyone around.

Among the songs they worked hard on and that we never got tired of listening to, the jam sessions were, perhaps, even more spectacular. It was a limitless exploration and each artist became a source of inspiration for his colleagues. Countless times we have felt that time is freezing, that we are absorbed by music. Pure, intimate music.

The fact that you can connect with other people and you can share something that comes from within, that’s the only reason why I do music. -Ana Wolf

Everybody is singing.

In addition to exploring, the jam sessions were opportunities to get to know each other. An understanding of how beauty is transposed through people. The discovery was not limited to the artists originally set for this week. Adi Despot was delighted to see other people around who share the same passion. And what better way to celebrate than by inviting them to sing with you?

I am surrounded by beautiful people, artists, music, creativity. So much creativity. -Diana Căldăraru, glo selected talent

After so many days full of joy and nights when sleep could not keep up with the desire to sing, we said goodbye with strong hugs and great gratitude in the soul.

This week was exactly as I imagined. A love and a joy and a perpetual making of music. -Adrian Despot

The glo Creative Camp adventure ended with some incredible songs that we will release soon. Stay close!
