EC Village: The festival within a festival

Living inside the camping zone is not just about changing your lifestyle for a few days. It’s much more than that.

There’s only one proper answer to the question: “Where are you staying at Electric Castle?”. In a tent, of course, anything else is unacceptable. You can’t enjoy the full festival experience if you stay at a hotel or some overpriced Airbnb spot. There’s no point in that. The idea of going to a music festival is to get away from your everyday life. That also means giving up the comfort of a regular bed and starting to inflate your mattress.

Living inside the camping zone is not just about changing your lifestyle for a few days. It’s much more than that. It’s one thing to live in a tent, and another one to live in a tent at a music festival, where you’re surrounded by like-minded people. It’s the place where you spend most of your time at a music festival. If you’re not feeling the vibe in camping area, the whole festival will feel like a letdown.

That’s why it’s super important to enjoy living in the camping area. It should offer you an experience as closely related to the one in the festival perimeter as possible. You should have everything you need at your disposal. This idea is the basis of the new camping area concept that will happen at Electric Castle 8. Starting next year, everyone who’ll buy accommodation in the EC Village will have access to all the things that were only available in the festival area until now. Here’s what’s new:

All accommodation options will be located in the same area

As opposed to the previous years, when the camping zones were scattered based on the what they offered, next year all accommodations will be in the same place. That means that no matter in what tent or hut you choose to sleep in, you’ll be super close to everyone else. Perfect. That will save a lot of time walking around trying to find your friends who are in a different tent. This area will be located near the main festival entrance. You know, the place where you’ll go for the concerts. Everything else will be really close by:

Absolutely everything you need will be super close to you

Yep, everything will be right by your tent. I’m talking about showers, flush toilets, all sorts of places to eat at, lounge areas, yoga, a gaming hub, even a place where you can eat grilled meat. Something reminiscent of normal camping. If you want to stay clear of possible dancing-related cramps incidents, you could go and get a massage. Yeah, it’s in the camping area. You’ll have everything you need. The only thing that’s missing is the ferris wheel, but one’s enough.

EC Camping Amenities 1

You can stay in the EC Village even if you don’t own a tent

You don’t even need a tent to stay in the EC Village. You can choose to buy ticket with a pre-pitched tent included, so you’ll have nothing to worry about when you get there. And there’s more options to choose from. You can stay in a classic tent for two or three or you can book something that looks like a wedding tent. And if you don’t want to sit in a tent you can just opt for a small lodge in the EC Village. Some look even better than whatever one room place you’ll find in Cluj-Napoca at a decent price. You get four of your friends together, you gather some money and you won’t need to go back and forth everyday from Cluj to Bontida.

EC Camping Dreamtents

EC Village will bring together the entire Electric Castle community

The camping area will be a festival in itself. Electric Castle will be in direct competition with EC Village, and there will be only one winner: you, the Electric Castle attendee. Whether you’re in front of the mainstage or eating something in front of your tent, there won’t be a big difference. In the EC Village the whole Electric Castle community will live together. That means that it’s going to be easier to stay in touch with new friends or find an artist playing some FIFA at the gaming hub. You’ll never feel alone inside the EC Village.

Some of the Coolest Moments From EC7, the Best Electric Castle So Far

No matter what we felt on a personal level, we all remember these moments:

Nature is our dance floor

That’s why when the party is over, the only footprint left behind has to be a positive one. At Electric Castle, we believe that sustainability shouldn’t be a one-hit wonder but an all-timer. Our efforts are sustained and constant for each edition to be more environmentally friendly.
