Editors
Something light, something chill. Editors played two of their most popular songs at EC8: Sugar and Munich. The first is a part of their fourth album and “Munich” was their stand-out debut. You decide which one sounds better, both being great live pieces. Considering the time gap between them, they are proof of the band’s constant evolution throughout the years.
Enter Shikari
Enter Shikari was a “late entry” to the EC8 line-up, but their show was… (insert a superlative adjective here). No wonder we still get goosebumps when watching this video. The best kind of crowd-artist relationship can be seen right there.
Aurora
Aurora was born in Norway, so the cold nights at Bonțida were probably not a big deal for her, as you can see in this video. Here she sings “Runaway”, the song that was lucky enough to become a TikTok hit. The second song, “Giving In To The Love”, shows support for the different shapes love can take. One of them was the audience’s reaction to Aurora’s show.
Gorillaz
YES! Three of their most known and appreciated songs: ‘“Stylo”, pour les connaisseurs, “Feel Good Inc.”, for casual fans, and „Clint Eastwood”, for absolutely everyone. It was a complex and well-done show, with lots of musicians brought by Damon Albarn to turn the virtual world into reality. 345 artists were not enough, so he also invited Șaraimanic band on stage for an accordion solo in the outro of “Clint Eastwood”.
twenty one pilots
The main event deserves (at least) four songs on repeat. All the EC8 shows were memorable, but twenty one pilots broke the audience record, being the most-awaited band. Here we can watch the best moments of their show, such as Tyler walking next to his fans during “Ride” or him singing “Car Radio” from the top of a scaffold, in the middle of the crowd.
Got energy and tears for one more? Here we go.
This was the intro of their show, a mash-up between “Heathens” and the main song of Stranger Things. By choosing EC for this moment, they confirm the festival’s top position in the pop-culture world:
